Residence at kanakpura, Bangalore

This compact single family home was designed for a small family of four. Keeping sync with the clients beliefs, the concept was to have a contemporary building infused with traditional elements through the building. The result was an interesting mix of the past in the present. Traditional wooden pillars on an exposed concrete background. Terracotta jaali works infused with fundermax cladding are some such instances. The ground level is dedicated to parking and a home office. The level 1 houses the common areas of the house to entertain guests and the upper levels comprises of the personal spaces for the family. An internal lift connects all the levels seamlessly.
